Our guide Maggie was fantastic! I highly recommend this tour. We attended mission winery which was stunning followed by a local brewery. Great value for money & we felt very welcomed. The Art deco township was beautiful & quirky. I would love to go back!

Without exception, this was the best tour of our cruise. We were all still talking about it up to disembarkation day, a month after the tour. John stepped up to the plate and made the tour work, despite the recent amount of damage and loss of life caused by the cyclone earlier in the year. John was well prepared, articulate in speech, and gave each and every one of us a unique, thoroughly enjoyable day out. We loved every minute. And I loved feeding the llamas. Thank you John. Our guide had a great personality and was very knowledgeable. She was patient, kind and thoughtful. Water and fruit was available throughout the tour. It was fun hearing the folktales about the people and country. Plenty of bathroom breaks along the way. My group of four had a great time.

If your ship is arriving at a different time than you have been communicating, . You WILL NOT BE NOT EARLY OR LATE. Your tour commences 30 minutes after your ships arrival – whatever that time is.

To stay ahead of the crowds on the day. Your early start allows you more time in the art deco capital of the world. Most ship visits are short, so we like to maximize your experience.

Yes, absolutely.

We will always have you back in time for your sailing. Most sailings finish well after your tour finishes and most of our clients like to walk the main art deco city area

Yes, your ticket covers, wine tastings, beer tastings (or cider if available) and chilled bottled water.

There is very little walking involved. We stop close to the attractions to minimize walking. Photo stops are out of the vehicle and back in mostly.

I am sorry to say, no to wheelchairs. We are able to carry a collapsible walking frame, but do not have the space for a wheelchair.

John and Maggie started the business 20 years ago. We seem to be the most preferred tour operator on ship day visits.

We only take our pre-booked clients, no waiting to fill vans on the day.

The Discover Hawkes Bay Tour: Is a more general tour. More of an overview of everything tour. The most popular of the two.

The Premium Tour: This has more time spent on the Art Deco and Spanish Mission styles. Good drive  in the countryside, with Top Rated Guides + Newer Vehicles
